I met Guy at the beach today expecting to have a good windsurf session in the forecasted gale to storm force winds. Guy had already rigged up his wave board and 5.5m sail, and was just about to get in the water when I got there. I didn't think there was anywhere near enough wind, so decided to watch him for 10 minutes before rigging.

Sure enough, there wasn't enough wind and Guy sunk and went nowhere fast.

I then drove up to the Golf Course Car Park while Guy derigged, and found that the chain on the gate had been repaired and the padlock still rusted shut so I ended up snapping my key in the padlock and having to sort it all out with the peope at the Golf Club...

I then went back to the Lifeboat Station and went out for a surf in the 2 foot messy surf. Guy came out on his wave board for a bit as well, but spent more time swimming after his board (as he didn't have a leash) then anything else. I caught a few little waves but nothing special.
